I am Crystal Orlando!
I was born an artist in 1978. My mother, who is a commercial artist, started teaching me to draw when I was around 2 years old. As I grew older, more of my technique became self taught through trial and error.
I studied Equine Science at North Central Texas College, and graduated with Honors with my A.A.S. This gave me a good background in the anatomy of horses and cows. I trained horses full time for 6 years and part time for 6 more. I rode many styles including reining, cutting, western pleasure, hunter jumper, dressage, and polo.
I am currently a full time mom and artist. I sell jewelry, drawings, oil paintings, sculpture, and some home accents. My specialty is realizm, but I also love contemporary, and abstract.
I spend time with my subjects. I study them. I get dirty with them. I take my own photographs for reference. I take pleasure in pushing the limits with my work. Pushing to the next level and looking at it from unusual perspective.
God gave me the gift of art to share with the world. May you be blessed by it.
